Campi Flegrei or “Burning Fields” is a volcanic field with several active volcanic centres with fumaroles emitting columns of steam. Campi Flegrei stretch over 13 km and are situated to the West of Naples. If you are interested in geology and the history of volcanic activity in Naples and its surrounding areas, or if you just want to marvel at the sight we strongly recommend this excursion. We will take you to walk amongst the fumaroles and witness with your own eyes the reality of living in an active volcanic area. We can also combine this trip with a visit to Mount Vesuvius.
