Vesuvius is one of the most visited and well-known volcanoes in the world. 1300 meters high is about 9 km from Naples. The crater of Mount Vesuvius has a diameter of about 700 meters and is 200 meters deep. It includes two volcanoes: Mount Somma and Vesuvius Great Cone. Since 1995, the Vesuvius has become a national park where you can reach the summit along a path to walk.
The path is well-known tourist and the Gran Cone, leading through a steep path up to the mouth of the crater.
